Early beginnings

Synonymous with creativity and colour, Pomellato was founded in Milan in 1967 by Pino Rabolini – the heir to his family’s goldsmith legacy. Introducing the prêt-à-porter philosophy to the traditionally conservative world of jewelry. Rabolini revolutionized women’s fashion choices while shaping Pomellato with a powerful, fashion-forward identity. Fifty years later, his jubilant, distinctive designs have grown to be revered both in Italy and across the international jewelry landscape.

In July 2013, Pomellato joined the Kering Group. A global Luxury group, Kering manages the development of a series of renowned Houses in Fashion, Leather Goods, Jewelry and Watches: Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Brioni, Boucheron, Pomellato, Dodo, Qeelin, Ulysse Nardin, Girard-Perregaux, as well as Kering Eyewear. Since its inception, Pomellato has become a communication trendsetter, developing innovative campaigns with famed photographers such as Helmut Newton, Gian Paolo Barbieri, Michel Comte, Paolo Roversi, Javier Vallhonrat, Sølve Sundsbø, Jean-Baptiste Mondino and the duo Mert and Marcus.

Pomellato for Women

Toward this end, Pomellato’s 2017 #PomellatoForWomen campaign celebrated its 50th anniversary alongside a strong feminine leadership. Starring several women from an inclusive cross-section of various disciplines, ages, features and arts, they are bearers of Pomellato values, standing united with a confidence in who they are. Shot by Peter Lindbergh, the #PomellatoForWomen trailblazers beautifully encapsulate the forward-thinking, unconventional approach that has defined Pomellato for 50 years.

Pomellato has always given a role of fundamental importance to the artisan manufacture of its creations, employing highly qualified and greatly experienced artisans. Today, the headquarters in Milan host over 100 goldsmiths who craft every Pomellato jewel with great concentration and inspiration.

As of 2013, Pomellato has joined the Kering Group. Present in more than 120 countries, the Group generated revenues of €10 billion in 2014 and totaled more than 37,000 employees by the end of the year. The Kering (previously PPR) share is listed on Euronext Paris (FR 0000121485, KER.PA, KER.FP).
