Milan, February 22, 2019 – Last night, Pomellato CEO Sabina Belli and Vogue Italia Editor-in-chief Emanuele Farneti welcomed VIPs to a divine Milan Fashion Week event at the Chiesa di San Paolo Converso, a former Roman Catholic 16th century church in Milan. Designing the night with sacred style for the 25th anniversary of Mert and Marcus Photography, celebrity guests included Kendall Jenner, Eva Herzigova, Amber Valletta, Doutzen Kroes, Shalom Harlow, Afef, Olivia Palermo, Pomellato Creative Director Vincenzo Castaldo, Margherita Missoni, Massimiliano Locatelli, Diego Della Valle, Giambattista Valli, Brunello Cucinelli, Alessandro Dell’Acqua, Carlo Capasa e Ennio Capasa, Remo Ruffini, Fedele Usai, Stefano Tonchi, Suzy Menkes, Mariacarla Boscono, Ghali, Pomellato Brand Managing Director Stéphane Gerschel, Hamish Bowles, Brian Boy, Bella Hadid, Liya Kebede, Tabitha Simmons, Lawrence Steele, Francesco Vezzoli and Edward Enninful who dined and partied amidst the hauntingly beautiful Baroque architecture and candlelight ambiance of the former church.
POMELLATO AND VOGUE ITALIA CELEBRATE MERT AND MARCUS
Guests were treated to a live opera performance by soprano Saira Luther, as well as the peerless sounds of the European Soloist Quartet. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott were the men of the hour, as the duo’s 25-year photography partnership has immortalized stars such as Madonna, Kate Moss, Rihanna and Lady Gaga, and their approach has radically changed the image of fashion photography.
For the last issue of Vogue Italia, Mert and Marcus captured Kendall Jenner – an international top model who attended the party last night – as she gave preview to Pomellato’s sensual new BRERA collection, launching in May.
