Margherita Puri Negri was born in Milan 28 years ago. After getting a degree in International Relations and Business, she moved to Washington DC to work on a climate change project at the World Bank Group. Then she came back to Milan to work first for Havas, an award-winning, global advertising company, and Spring Milan, a media agency offering creative solutions for different kinds of brands. She recently became mother to a beautiful girl, Giulia. 2019 will be dedicated to learning how to be a mommy and getting to know Rome, the city she moved to a year ago with her husband Matteo. She also wants to work on designing and promoting a variety of experiences in the Lake Burano area, to help people enjoy the beautiful WWF natural reserve she loves. Her favorite app is Christie’s, and if she had to choose three things to take on a desert island with her, it would be bread, cheese and wine! What’s her favorite stone? A blue diamond.

Gianluca Longo: What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?

Margherita Puri Negri: I kiss my husband.

GL: And what is the last thing you do before turning off the light at night?

MPN: I kiss my husband.

GL: Do you remember your most beautiful dream?

MPN: I’ve been obsessed with my birthday since I was a child. One of my favorite dreams that I best remember

is when I dreamed of waking up on my birthday with a huge pile of gifts at the foot of my bed. I must have been

eight or nine years old, and I still remember the extreme joy of finding all those gifts in my dream (but also the

disappointment of waking up and not finding them).

GL: What is your beauty routine?

MPN: It’s super simple: I wash my skin with a neutral cleanser and then I alternate cream or oil for the face. I finish with something nourishing for the lips. All products are strictly organic. Then I might put on makeup that’s always very light for day.

GL: What is your current obsession?

MPN: Small earrings for everyday wear (little gold hoops, earrings with colored stones or tiny stud earrings). I adore them!

GL: When choosing what to wear in the morning, do you pick clothes before jewelry, or vice versa?

MPN: If it’s a normal day, I first choose the jewels I want to wear that I’m fond of. If it’s a special occasion, I choose my jewelry based on my outfit.

MPN: My engagement ring.

GL: What is the last song/album you downloaded?

MPN: The End of the World by Anastasio.

GL: What is your favorite karaoke song?

MPN: Girls just want to have fun or any song by Lucio Battisti.

GL: What gives you joy?

MPN: At the moment, tiny baby clothes.

GL: What gets you angrier: missing a plane or burning a cake?

MPN: Missing a plane—without a doubt.

GL: If you could, would you go to the Moon or Mars?

MPN: Mars.

GL: What is the best present you received?

MPN: When we first found out we were expecting a baby girl.

GL: And the best one you ever gave?

MPN: A custom-made bronze toad by Madina Visconti.
