THE PROTECT VENICE ISSUE OF VOGUE ITALIA CELEBRATION EVENT

Milan, 21 February 2020 – The historic rooms of Palazzo Trivulzio hosted an event last night celebrating the February issue of Vogue Italia, dedicated entirely to Italy, with Venice chosen as a symbol.

For the first time in its history, Vogue Italia has dedicated its cover to fundraising: indeed, in the image, top Italian model Vittoria Ceretti holds a slab with “PROTECT VENICE” written on it, and invites readers to donate using the IBAN number of the bank account that the City of Venice has opened for the flooding emergency.

The inside cover, taken by legendary Bologna photographer Paolo Roversi, features 18-year-old Italian model Maty Fall Diba (of Senegalese origin), a rising star on the international catwalks who has been chosen as the symbol of new Italian beauty for 2020.

Both the models on the cover are wearing the new Fantina gold jewellery collection by Pomellato, the Milanese jewellery brand that was the first to introduce the concept of prêt-à-porter to the jewellery world, combining craftsmanship and contemporary design. With a preview worn on the cover of Vogue Italia, the Collection is dedicated to modern-day Amazons, women who are championing their own destiny by breaking with conventions and enhancing their own style with original character. Bold and elegant, the Fantina collection reflects the excellence of Milanese design and is the perfect choice of a Collection to symbolise new feminine beauty.
